Un duel pour la victoire ?
La terrible montée finale vers Storheia avait éclairci les choses pour le classement général ce samedi à la veille de l’arrivée finale de l’Arctic Race of Norway. La victoire au classement général semblait devoir se jouer entre Guillermo Thomas Silva (XDS Astana Team), le vainqueur de la 3e étape, et Lennert Van Eetvelt (Lotto Intermarché).
Restait à bien négocier la dernière étape de la course ce dimanche. Un parcours assez accidenté, notamment en fin de journée, et une montée finale rythmée vers Narvik, 2,8 km à 8 % de moyenne pour déterminer le grand vainqueur. En embuscade, Alessandro Pinarello (NSN Cycling Team) avait encore ses chances, alors que côté français, les TotalEnergies Thomas Bonnet et Joris Delbove semblaient avoir une carte à jouer.
