Guide to Amrit Bharat Express For Ticket Prices and Travel Expenses

Indian Railways has decided to maintain the 15–17% price difference between the similar class of travel in Mail/Express trains and the soon-to-be-launched Amrit Bharat Express trains.

The basic ticket for the second class unreserved coaches is around 17% more than the unreserved coaches in other Mail/Express trains, a railway official told. According to the resources, this is because of the multiple extra passenger comforts on the train.

On December 30, Indian Railways will launch the first two new Amrit Bharat Express trains, which will be handled by PM Narendra Modi. The first train will go via Ayodhya from Anand Vihar in Delhi to Darbhanga in Bihar, and the second train will travel between Bengaluru and Malda.

Amrit Bharat Express: Fare Structure Of New Train

Indian Railways has maintained that the minimum tariff for second-class coaches on the Amrit Bharat Express trains for trips up to 50 kilometres is Rs 35. This basic cost is Rs 30 for a second-class trip on a Mail/Express train. For travels up to 15 kilometres, the minimum fee for the sleeper class is Rs 46; for trips up to 50 kilometres, it is Rs 65.

For travel up to 5000 kilometres, the minimum fee for the second class and sleeper class would be Rs 933 and Rs 1469, respectively. This cost does not include the reservation fee, extra charges for Superfast trains, Goods and Service Tax (GST), or any other additional fees that may apply.
